July 4th Cover Contest Winner Announced!
The cover art of this year's program was created by Sophia Mitchell. Sophia is an upcoming 5th grader at Forest Lakes Elementary School. She is known for being kind, caring and creative. She enjoys dancing and being a team player on her lacrosse and field hockey teams.
Typically you can find Sophia creating and building art from items found around her house. She has a passion for learning and trying new things, probably because she comes from a family of talented artists!

Sophia would like to thank her art teacher, Ms. Heather Johnson of Forest Lakes Elementary School, for teaching her special techniques to improve her art.
Submissions to the Cover Contest were handled by Mike Blum and David Williams, with the huge assistance of Art Teachers Heather Johnson, Melinda Glackin and Jen Byrne. We are grateful for the support we have received from these art teachers over the years, resulting in the excellent series of cover art submissions and winning entries. This year we had perhaps the LARGEST number of submissions, ever!
We are pleased to include in the program the four drawings that earned an Honorable Mention in the 2022 contest.
Programs were available free of charge beginning on or about June 25 at many Bel Air stores, restaurants, businesses and government buildings.
The programs not only included a complete schedule of events, but also maps and locations of events, road closures and traffic diversions, lists of sponsors and patrons, and more.
Thanks and we hope we saw you on the 4th! You are also cordially invited to browse through our official 2022 program!
